New release from UA Press offers tips for exploring Alaska with children

The latest release from University of Alaska Press is Alaska on the Go: Exploring the 49th State with Children, by Erin Kirkland. In Alaska on the Go, journalist and Alaska resident Kirkland offers a fresh take on exploring the 49th state as part of a family vacation, with insider tips and tricks. Serving as tour guide, Kirkland identifies the best and most kid-friendly destinations in cities across Alaska. She offers practical advice on everything from restaurants to rest stops and from weather surprises to wild animals. Photos, maps and sample itineraries make it easy for parents to plan a trip that will be please everyone in the family.
