Lemonade Day Alaska 2014

by Michelle Saport  |

Registration for the fourth annual Lemonade Day Alaska begins on Monday, April 7. This year's event will take place in communities across the state on Saturday, June 14.

Lemonade Day Alaska teaches kids about starting a business, but also about the importance of financial literacy and giving back to the community. Program participants are allowed to keep all of the money they raise from operations, but are encouraged to "spend a little, save a little and share a little with their community." Lemonade Day Alaska recognizes that the leaders of tomorrow are shaped by the actions of today.

Lemonade Day Alaska staff expect to continue the rapid expansion of the program in 2014 by having more than 4,000 youth participate statewide.
