Writing Center seeks student tutors for fall 2014 semester

The Writing Center is looking for students who would like to be writing tutors beginning in the fall 2014 semester. If you have any students who stand out to you as helpful and collaborative, and who would benefit from experience tutoring writing, please encourage them to apply! The job posting number is 0068434 and can be easily found by searching the UAKJobs.com website. Here are the minimum qualifications:
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0 with a 3.0 average in English coursework.
- Must have successfully completed English 211, 212, 213, 214 or an equivalent English composition course, or be currently enrolled in a 200-level ENGL class for the fall.
Prior tutoring experience is preferred but not required. Training will be provided upon hire. This is an exciting and meaningful student job that previous tutors have really enjoyed. Tutors benefit by developing content knowledge, tutoring pedagogy and professional experience in academia.
