Dewain Lee appointed to National Advisory Council for the National Conference on Race and Ethnicity in Higher Education (NCORE)

Congratulations to Dr. Dewain Lee, dean of students and associate vice chancellor for student development, on her appointment to serve on the National Advisory Council for the National Conference on Race and Ethnicity in Higher Education (NCORE). NCORE provides the most comprehensive national forum on issues of race and ethnicity in American higher education. Offering hundreds of sessions to participants from universities throughout North America, NCORE focuses on creating systemic institutional change to improve racial and ethnic relations on campus and fostering greater educational access and success for traditionally underrepresented populations.
During her three-year term on the national advisory council, Dr. Lee will connect UAA and the needs of our unique student population with national peer institutions who face similar opportunities. Congratulations again to Dr. Lee on achieving a place on this important national committee. We look forward to seeing our students, as well as those from schools across the nation, benefit from the NCORE work and significant dialogues.
