Smith-Lever Act anniversary celebration, May 8

UAF's Cooperative Extension Service - Anchorage District Office will host a birthday party to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Smith-Lever Act. There will be prizes, cake and punch. Parking is free.
The Smith-Lever of 1914 established the Cooperative Extension Service to extend university-based knowledge to citizens. The Cooperative Extension Service is an educational partnership between the U.S. Department of Agriculture and the nation's land-grant universities.
