The UAA Chugiak-Eagle River Campus (CERC) and the Mat-Su Borough School District (MSBSD) hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the grand opening of the Eagle Center Café last week.

In a collaborative effort, CERC and MSBSD funded the construction and opening of the Eagle Center Café to meet the needs of UAA and Alaska Middle College School (AMCS) students. The middle college provides high school students the unique opportunity to earn their high school diploma while simultaneously earning credits toward an associate of arts degree from UAA.

Designed with students in mind, the café, managed by Nana Management Services, features multiple electronic ports and free Wi-Fi. Hours of operation are Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m.-6 p.m., and Friday, 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Read the full story on CTC Insider.
