Cuddy closing early for 2014 Celebrity Chef Invitational

The Culinary Arts and Hospitality Department at UAA's Community and Technical College will host the Annual Celebrity Chef Invitational Wednesday, Sept. 17, featuring Chef Alfio Celia, executive chef of Carluccio's USA, in the Lucy Cuddy Hall and Atrium.

Local chef team leaders include: Executive Chef Luke Doherty, Sack's Café; Executive Chef Matt Little Dog, Area Chef NMS; Executive Chef Guy Conley, Fat Ptarmigan; Executive Chef Brie Lauren, Bridge Restaurant; and Executive Chef Leah Gallahorn, Simon & Seafort's.

The sold-out Invitational serves as a fundraiser, as well as a showcase for the UAA Culinary Arts and Hospitality Program.

The Cuddy Commons, Cuddy Market Place and Daily Grind will close at 1 p.m. to accommodate the event.
