Engineering students work on public art project highlighted in 'ADN'

by Michelle Saport  |

A group of UAA engineering students, along with Jeffrey Hoffman, director of the prototyping lab at UAA, and Corbin Rowe, the lab's machinist, helped build a public art project by sculptor Rebecca Lyon. Titled "Transformation," the work features oscillating stainless steel ravens atop a 30-foot pole. The sculpture will be dedicated with a public celebration 5-7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 3, at the northwest corner of Westchester Lagoon. Read more about the project and student contributions at adn.com.
