Feast your senses on the enchanting Brazilian and Afro-Cuban melodies of the John Damberg Latin Jazz Quintet. This concert will feature new compositions by noted Alaska composers John Damberg and Mark Manners, and rarely performed music of Brazilian and Afro-Cuban Latin jazz giants Jovino Santos Neto, Andy Narell and the Caribbean Jazz Project.
The John Damberg Latin Jazz Quintet strives to present fresh, new musical landscapes featuring the unique blend of marimba, steel drum, vibes and the classical guitar jamming over exotic world beat rhythmic grooves.
