2015 CCEL Second Bridge Scholarship Award

"Congratulations! Today is your day. You're off to Great Places! You're off and away!" -Dr. Seuss

The Center for Community Engagement & Learning (CCEL) seeks proposals from UAA undergraduate students for this year's Second Bridge Scholarship Award to take you to great places.

This award of up to $2,000 encourages UAA undergraduates enrolled in any degree-seeking program to pursue a structured but non-traditional educational experience in service learning. Students who engaged in a study-abroad program or a domestic community-engaged program crossed a "first bridge" that expanded their educational horizons. Crossing the "second bridge" requires a commitment to either an international setting or a domestic setting that will push the boundaries of traditional education, meet a community need and afford a richer and deeper experience for the student.

The proposal deadline is Friday, January 30, 2015. And as Dr. Seuss tells us, don't miss the deadline: "Your mountain is waiting. So... get on your way!"
