Celebrate the Fourth of July at a special barbecue ahead of the long holiday weekend. Enjoy burgers, hot dogs, sausage dogs, vegetables and many desserts, as well as the chance to win America-themed door prizes. Food is free for students, $1 for faculty/staff and $2 for the general public.

Scott Goldsmith presents workshop on model used for oil tax analysis, June 27

Scott Goldsmith, professor emeritus of economics at ISER, will host a workshop, open to the public, to explain the revenue-generation model he used in his recent analysis of future revenues under the state's old method of taxing oil production, called ACES, and the new method that went into effect in January, known as SB 21 or MAPA. This will be a technical analysis of the model, and not a general discussion of the two production tax systems.

The UAA Concert Board with support from Alaska Airlines is proud to announce the Alaskan debut of the Alabama Shakes. Coming to the Alaska Airlines Center on Sept. 13 at 7:30 p.m., as part of the weeklong Grand Opening celebration of UAA's new arena. General admission tickets go on sale July 15; student tickets go on sale Aug. 20.
