UAA basketball cheerleaders bring new energy to the court

UAA's basketball players have some new super-fans this season. The university recently brought its cheerleading program into the athletic department from the recreational sports department, and the shift is turning heads. At a recent Seawolf basketball game, UAA's cheerleaders were on the court during breaks showcasing impressive flips and routines, throwing T-shirts into the crowd and encouraging Seawolf fans to get on their feet and cheer loudly for the home team. Read more about the UAA cheerleading program in this story by Matt Tunseth that appeared in the Alaska Dispatch News on Dec. 24, 2014.
