Join the discussion: Northern Voices on Homelessness public forum scheduled for March 7

by Michelle Saport  |

Northern Voices on Homelessness public forum: Saturday, March 7, 2-5 p.m. Loussac Library (3600 Denali St.) and via live-stream at libraries throughout the state

If funding wasn't a barrier, what would you do to end homelessness? What single thing should be done this year to make progress toward ending homelessness?

Northern Voices on Homelessness will bring together people with knowledge about homelessness in the North to engage with the public and enrich conversations about positive solutions for Northern communities. We invite experts in homelessness research, policy, advocacy, services and personal experience to exchange ideas on current and future solutions to homelessness in the North. The general public is invited not only to attend, but to participate in brainstorming activities and to share their own experiences and understanding of homelessness in the North.

This event will be shared live throughout Alaska state libraries through the OWL system, giving communities throughout the state the ability to participate. We will also re-broadcast the event on public radio.
