'A Night Down South: Under the Midnight Sun Barn Dance,' March 27

by Michelle Saport  |

Friday, March 27, 7-10 p.m. UAA Student Union Cafeteria

Yee-hah! Get ready for an U-A-Amazing night down south under the Alaska midnight sun. Ladies and gents, dress up in your best belt buckles, chaps, cowboy boots and hats.

DJ Lefty will play the greatest country hits and Alaska Swing Dance will provide two-step and line dance instruction.

The first 100 guests will receive a custom Student Activities mason jar filled with goodies.

There will be games of corn-hole, light refreshments and snacks, a best-dressed competition, and prizes galore throughout the night. In addition, one of the larger attractions to this event will be a mechanical bucking salmon, brought to you by Tons of Fun Entertainment.

Have your photo taken in your best western attire at our country-themed photo booth and access the photos the next day on the Student Activities Facebook page.

Tickets are free for UAA students with valid ID taking six or more credits, and for children 12 and under. General admission is $5 at the door.
