Lacey Roop: First Tuesday poetry and workshop, April 7 and 8

Lacey Roop is an esteemed and nationally acclaimed spoken word artist. In addition to widespread touring from Texas to Canada and everywhere in-between, Roop has achieved many accomplishments such as placing sixth at the Women of the World Poetry Slam (WOWPS) in 2011.

Roop will be at UAA April 7 and 8. She will perform as part of Student Activities' monthly First Tuesday Poetry event, which is free for everyone, in the Student Union Den on April 7 from 7-8 p.m. Free food and drinks will be available. On April 8, from 7-8 p.m., Roop will be back in the Student Union Den to host a free workshop offering tips and advice on writing and preforming poetry.
