Facing our budget downturn together: please send in your ideas

Chancellor Tom Case invites all members of the UAA community-staff, faculty and students-to share cost-cutting perspectives and reorganization ideas that might yield savings.

UAA anticipates an $18-$22 million unfunded shortfall in FY16. Economic projections indicate we may see two years of similar cuts for FY17 and FY18. Considering this reality, the chancellor welcomes your help.

In February, the UA Board of Regents approved a 5-percent tuition increase, which will add $2-3 million in new income. Obviously, much more is needed. We need every good idea. We need your idea.
