Astronaut Tracy Caldwell Dyson speaks April 16 at UAA. The 7 p.m. event at the Wendy Williamson is free and open to the public, sponsored by the Univesrity Honors College.

NASA Astronaut Tracy Caldwell Dyson will speak Thursday, April 16  from 7-9 p.m. in the Wendy Williamson Auditorium. This free, public event is the keynote address for the Undergraduate Research & Discovery Symposium April 13-17. Events during the symposium, all open to the public, include:

  • Poster Fair, Monday-Thursday, April 13-16, UAA Consortium Library
  • Research Presentations, Friday, April 17, 8 .m.-2 p.m., RH 110, 210 and 220.
  • Poster Presentation and Reception, Friday, April 17, 2-4 p.m., RH Lobby
  • Awards Ceremony Friday, April 17, 4-6 p.m.

Caldwell Dyson earned her doctorate in chemistry from the University of California at Davis. Her research work has earned accolades throughout her academic career, including the National Science Foundation Research Award for Undergraduates.
