Spring 2015: Share your stories about speaking and writing and earn $20

by Michelle Saport  |

A researcher in the UAA Department of English is seeking participants for a study on how Native Alaska ways of knowing and doing might have a meaningful connection to the study of rhetoric, or speaking and writing practices. UAA students who self-identify as Alaska Native and are at least 18 years old are invited to take part in a 30-45 minute interview. During the interview, participants will be asked about their own reading and writing practices and those of their family or community. The interview will be audio-recorded.

Participation in this interview project is completely voluntary and the interview will remain confidential upon the request of the interviewee. Interviewees will be given $20 for participating in the study.

If you are interested or if you have questions or concerns, please contact the principal investigator, Heather Adams, Ph.D., at hbadams@uaa.alaska.edu (907) 786-4369.
