Celebrate 2015 Safety Awareness with the following workshops, fairs and other events happening on campus.

Main Campus

Consent is Sexy Sept. 21, 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Student Union Learn more about consent and what it means.

R.A.D. classes Sept. 22­, 23 and 24, 5:30-9:30 p.m. Gorsuch Commons, Room 107 Self-defense class for credit. For more information, visit the UPD website.

Spice Up Your Life Sept. 22, 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Social Sciences Building, Lobby What is spice? Learn why it's not safe.

Breathe Fresh Air: Tobacco Cessation - Smoke-Free UAA Sept. 22, 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Social Sciences Building, Lobby Come learn about the new policy and why UAA is now a smoke-free campus.

Safety Awareness Resource Fair Sept. 30, 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Student Union, Upper Level Learn about the many programs UAA has on campus to keep students safe.

Residence Life

Safety Walk Sept. 21, 7 p.m. West Hall Take a stroll around the residential campus and learn strategies for staying safe when walking alone. Leaving from the lobby of West Hall at 7 p.m.

Engraving Craving Sept. 23, 6 p.m. West Hall Protect your stuff. Come to the front desk of West Hall at 6 p.m. and find out how to engrave your information into your essentials. Free.

Safe Night In Sept. 25, 8 p.m. West Hall, First Floor Lounge Enjoy snacks, good company and entertainment in the West Hall 1st Floor lounge while chatting about situational awareness. (Open to residents of West Hall and their guests.)
