Final day to submit 2015 'No Big Heads' entries is Sept. 25

The UAA Student Union Gallery is now accepting submissions for the 30th annual "No Big Heads," a national juried self-portrait competition of limited size. All entries must be submitted online by Sept. 25. Visit CaFE for more information and to submit your artwork.

Entry guidelines The "No Big Heads" self-portrait exhibition is open to all artists. Works must be no larger than 12 inches by 12 inches in any direction, including framing and hanging materials. Gallery management reserves the right to disqualify any works that exceed the size criteria.

Entries must have been completed with the last three years and cannot have been exhibited in any previous UAA Student Union Gallery exhibition.

Only two entries allowed per person. Works accepted in all media. Weight limitation is 65 pounds. All pieces must arrive ready to hang or display.

About the juror Kiel Johnson is a Los Angeles-based artist, currently running around the West Coast, getting involved in any creative project that will have him. With an emphasis on drawings and sculpture, his works always say handmade, hard work and having fun. Kiel brings the inanimate to life, giving us a world not unlike ours but entirely his.
