Fall 2015: UAA Department of Music hosts Spanish guitar performance

Jazz Week Benefit Concert Wednesday, Sept. 30, 7:30-9 p.m. Fine Arts Building, Room 150

The UAA Department of Music presents the first concert in its annual Jazz Week Benefit Concert series. This concert will feature UAA faculty members, including vocalist Brenda Vulgamore Hune and guitarist Armin Abdihodzic. Completing the band are UAA alumnus Alex Cruver on piano, UAA alumna Heidi Herbert-Lovern on bass and current UAA music student Eric Bleicher on drums. The evening will include jazz standards from the Great American Songbook, as well as Latin standards, blues, ballads and swing tunes. Come listen to a night of great jazz. Proceeds will benefit UAA Jazz Week 2016.

Join the UAA Department of Music for an afternoon recital celebrating Spanish guitar music. This concert will feature a combination of famous and lesser-known Spanish composers. Armin Abdihodzic will be joined by UAA voice professor Mari Hahn for the performance of Manuel de Falla's famous Spanish Songs.
