ISER has been recruiting for two new faculty economists, and six finalists for those positions will be visiting UAA in the coming weeks. Patrick Gourley is the second candidate to speak at ISER. He will receive a Ph.D. in economics from the University of Colorado Boulder in May 2016. His research has been in environmental, public, and health economics. At ISER, he will talk about "Social Stigma and Asset Value."
