First Lady of Anchorage Mara Kimmel talks justice and change in free lecture - March 31, 2016

Come hear First Lady of Anchorage Mara Kimmel speak on the topic "Adventures of Misfits & Intrepeneurs: Creating Justice and Change From the Inside Out."

Dr. Kimmel is a former member of UAA's Department of Political Science and works at the UAA Institute of Social and Economic Research studying and researching issues of Arctic governance. She is also the co-founder of the Alaska Institute for Justice, a statewide nonprofit providing free legal services to immigrants, including human trafficking victims.

This lecture is presented as a joint partnership between the Women's History Program and the Department of Political Science. It is free and open to the public.
