Apply to join 2016 Technology Fellows cohort

Mar-Tech-Fellows-CMSThe Technology Fellows Program was built to encourage and foster student achievement through the use of technology-engaged learning. While the central purpose of the Technology Fellows program is on course redesign, each year we select a specific focus to encourage faculty to continually build and expand new skills, interests and abilities.

The 2016 Tech Fellows cohort will focus on Making Learning Visible. This program has long been a part of the teaching and learning professional development at UAA through CAFE programming. This group will have the opportunity to delve into the MLV program goals, create an investigative plan with the goal of documenting and publishing your findings through the eWolf ePortfolio system.

CAFE's Making Learning Visible (MLV) program is UAA's Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) initiative. The program gives faculty an opportunity to not only improve their expertise in the field, but to develop pedagogical expertise as well. It is designed to help faculty assess the efficacy of classroom strategies, document the effectiveness of their teaching, share effective strategies with peers, and demonstrate exemplary teaching in professional contexts such as the promotion and tenure portfolio.

Fellows selected are expected to integrate technology to support teaching and learning at UAA, serve as mentors and to participate in the ongoing Tech Fellows community of support.

The committee will be selecting 10 Technology Fellows this year. Please make sure to apply by March 18, 2016 to be considered. Full details and application are available on the Academic Innovations & eLearning website.
