April 23, 2016: UAA Guitar Ensemble in concert

UAA Guitar Ensemble will again feature a wide variety of works for their final concert of the semester. The program will include: a Baroque masterpiece, "Concerto in D" by Antonio Vivaldi, with UAA senior guitar performance major Jonathan Heynen as a soloist; an Irish folk medley; a five-movement suite by the Swiss composer Jurg Kindle titled "Rio de Janeiro suite," which draws inspiration from the colorful rhythms and forms of Brazilian music; and much more. The event will also feature several duets in combination with guitar, adding even more variety to this exciting event.
