UAA history majors present research at 2016 honor society conference

UAA History Majors Khafani Amundson and Frazier Manfull presented original research at the annual Phi Alpha Theta Northwest Regional Conference in Bellingham, Wash., April 8-9.

Frazier's project, titled "'Monopolizing the Imperial Will; Mobilizing the Popular Will' - Autarky, Mass Mobilization, and Fascism in Imperial Japan," and Khafani's project, titled "Portugal and the Atlantic Slave Trade: The Building of Brazil," received support from undergraduate research grants from UAA's Office of Undergraduate Research and University Honors College.
