Kicking the honeybucket

Living in rural Alaska is a formidable task: Roads connecting communities don't exist, weather can be brutal, and costs are high for necessities like milk and fuel. Hundreds of people live in areas so remote that running water and flush toilets are unattainable luxuries. Now, however, teams competing in the Alaska Water and Sewer Challenge are testing in-home systems that might make it possible for villagers to kick the hated honeybucket.
