Benjamin Madley is associate professor of history and chair of American Indian studies at UCLA. He is a historian of genocide and the relationship between indigenous people and colonizers. His first book, An American Genocide: The United States and the California Indian Catastrophe, was just launched at the 2016 NAISA conference.
