Fall 2016: Care Team Book Club meets Thursdays in the Student Union

by Michelle Saport  |

Thursdays through Dec. 8, 2016 10:30-11:30 a.m. Student Union, Den (by the fireplace)

Care Team Book Club's goal is to be part of creating a caring, connected community here at UAA. It is a drop-in book club where we read an excerpt or chapter during club time and then discuss it (no need to buy the book). The book club often has a NATIONAL crisis response canine at the meetings for people to pet and relax alongside. This fall, the club will be reading Find the Good: Unexpected Life Lessons from a Small-Town Obituary Writer, by Heather Lende.

Come and connect with each other. Drop in or come every week-we will always be glad to see you. The club is also looking for faculty, staff or student weekly readers. Contact Lisa Terwilliger at (907) 786-6065 or lterwil1@alaska.edu if you are interested.

The Care Team Book Club has been recognized by the National Association of Behavior Intervention Teams and will be featured in the forthcoming November J-BIT Journal.
