Test of UAA emergency alert system scheduled for Sept. 30, 2016

by Michelle Saport  |

This Friday morning, UAA Emergency Management will be conducting a test of the university's ability to send mass notifications during a crisis. UAAlert is designed to send you notice of emergency events using texts, telephone, email, work station PC pop-ups and social media. As we wrap up National Preparedness Month, log in to http://UAAlert.alaska.edu and update your personal profile to make sure we have the reach-me-now mobile phone number so that important alerts, such as if classes are canceled or there's an emergency, can reach you in a timely fashion.

When you receive the messages, make note of when, where and how you got them. The email will ask you to complete a short survey about how you received the information during the test. Please take a moment to complete the survey, as it helps improve UAA's emergency notification system.
