'Understory' seeking creative writing and film submissions by Dec. 1, 2016

Calling all writers and filmmakers! Understory is seeking creative writing and film submissions for the 2016/2017 edition.

• Prose: Works of fiction and creative nonfiction; 7,500 words or shorter in any genre or style.
• Plays: Short plays of 10 minutes or less in any style. Scripts and screenplays both accepted.
• Poetry: Poems of any length in any style. Please submit no more than five.
• Short film: Completed short films of up to 24 minutes in length in any style.

To be eligible to have your work included, you must be an undergraduate student at UAA enrolled in three or more credit hours.

When sending your submissions, please be sure to include your full name and student ID number in the subject line of the email and leave no identifying information within the submissions themselves (credits within short films are okay). Attach all submissions as a PDF for written works and .mov or .mp4 for film.
