Have you applied for Fall 2016 graduation yet? Deadline is Dec. 9

UAA welcomes the fall Class of 2016 to walk across the Alaska Airlines Center stage at the December commencement ceremony. Years of hard work and dedication culminate in this timeless academic tradition and celebration of student success. Chancellor Tom Case and UAA faculty and staff extend their profound and heartfelt congratulations to all of our graduating students.

To participate in the December commencement and hooding ceremonies:

1. Apply for graduation by Dec. 9

An application for graduation must be submitted prior to walking in the commencement ceremony. The final deadline to apply for fall 2016 graduation and be eligible to walk at Commencement is Friday, Dec. 9. For steps to applying for graduation, visit Graduation & Degree Services.

2. RSVP for the ceremony

After applying for graduation, visit the commencement website to RSVP for the ceremony. All graduates are invited to participate in the commencement ceremony at the Alaska Airlines Center on Sunday, Dec. 18. Master's and doctoral graduates are also invited to participate in the graduate degree hooding ceremony at the Wendy Williamson Auditorium on Saturday, Dec. 17. You must RSVP to participate in either ceremony-please do so as soon as possible.

3. Purchase regalia by Dec. 9

Cap, gown and tassel are required to participate in commencement. A hood is also required for master's and doctoral degree candidates participating in the ceremonies. These items will be available at the UAA Campus Bookstore and on the bookstore's website until Friday, Dec. 9.
