Strategic Pathways Phase II reports now online

Last week, University of Alaska leadership heard from the eight review teams working on options in Phase II of the Strategic Pathways process. The eight teams presented a total of 37 well thought out options for four academic areas-Community Campuses, e-Learning, Allied Health and Fisheries-and four administrative areas-Institutional Research, University Relations, Student Services and Human Resources.

Team reports and options with pros/cons are available at alaska.edu/pathways/phase-2. Feedback forms also are available. Please take a moment to review the reports and share your thoughts.

Other opportunities for public involvement include:

  • Provide testimony to the Board of Regents' during an upcoming call-in session:

  • Attend or live-stream the next Board of Regents meeting, March 2-3 in Anchorage. Phase II options will be on the agenda. As part of the two-day meeting, the regents will host an informal public gathering Thursday, March 2, 5:30-7 p.m., on the UAA campus (exact location TBA).
  • Campus and community forums will be held in March and April. The schedule will be announced shortly.
  • Next steps in the Phase II timeline include unit meetings between university leadership and those whose programs/departments could be affected by proposed options. Final decisions will be taken up in June when the Board of Regents meet. View more information about Phase II at alaska.edu/pathways/phase-2.
