Feb. 28, 2017: Emergency alert test scheduled

by Michelle Saport  |

The UAA Office of Emergency Management will be conducting the spring semester mass alert test using the on-campus speakerphone feature of our Cisco telephones. On Tuesday, Feb. 28, at about 9 a.m. all university Cisco phones should activate and announce that the test is taking place. In an effort to minimize disruption, the message will be limited to 32 seconds. A shorter message in text will also appear on the phone screens.

In order to assess the success of the test, please call Mark at IT Services at (907) 786-4646, Option 1, if you do not hear the sample alert, or if you believe you have not heard it in its entirety. No other alerting method, such as email, texting or personal telephone messages will be used during this exercise.
