Long-time UAA Bookstore employee Virginia 'Gigi' Olson retiring at the end of June

It is with mixed emotions that the UAA Bookstore announces the retirement of Gigi Olson, our textbook floor supervisor. She has provided us with 33 years of devoted service to both our store as well as the students, staff and faculty of UAA. Her willingness to put in extra time and effort to help us meet deadlines has demonstrated a commitment to excellence that we have come to depend upon. We don't know how we will get along without her!
In true Gigi fashion, she doesn't want a big public send-off-even though she deserves one-but we do invite you all to stop by the Bookstore between now and the end of June to share some memories and wish her a wonderful retirement.
