UAA welcomes Kim Mahoney as Facilities Planning and Construction Director

Kim Mahoney joins UAA as the director of Facilities Planning and Construction.

UAA has selected a new Facilities Planning and Construction Director--Kim Mahoney. Kim was raised in Alaska, graduated from high school in Glennallen, and attended and received a degree in civil engineering from the University of Alaska Fairbanks. She has her P.E. in Civil Engineering. Kim has extensive work experience with deferred maintenance project management at the Ted Steven's International Airport and with ADA upgrades in public facilities around the state. She has also accomplished master planning, new educational capital facilities and deferred maintenance work for AVTEC in Seward, and most recently she was the project manager for the $139M State Library Archives & Museum project in Juneau. Kim comes with excellent references. UAA Facilities is glad to have her on staff.

Kim has stated, "UAA is at work shaping and developing the next generation of leaders in our state. I am proud to have been a product of the state of Alaska's educational system. Now with over 20 years working in project management for DOT&PF Statewide Public Facilities, I am humbled to be able to use that experience and give back to UAA in a meaningful way."

Kim has a son who is currently a UAA student and a daughter who is a prospective Seawolf and she is married to a UAA Alumni. HOOOWL!
