March 3-9, 2017: Open forums with Dean of Students candidates for faculty and staff

by Michelle Saport  |

All faculty and staff members are invited to attend open forums with candidates for the Dean of Students. The Dean of Students serves as an advocate for students and promotes best practices for student success. The dean oversees various departments on campus, including Disability Support Services, the Multicultural Center, Native Student Services, Residence Life, Student Conduct and Ethical Development, and the Student Health and Counseling Center.

Each forum will include a 30-minute presentation by the candidate regarding how the candidate sees the role of the Dean of Students-and the functions that report to the Dean of Students-in increasing the retention and completion rates of our diverse student population at UAA. Following the presentation, participants will have an opportunity to ask the candidate questions.

Resumes will be available at each open forum.
