French professor Sudarsan Rangarajan publishes new article in 'Neophilologus'

Sudarsan Rangarajan, Ph.D., professor of French in the UAA Department of Languages, recently published his article, "The Anacoluthon in Le Rouge et le noir: Cutting Cords and Tying Knots," in the March 2017 issue of Neophilologus, an international journal of modern and medieval language and literature. Using critical studies of the anacoluthon (Derrida, Miller and Enqvist), the article examines paternal and conjugal relations, and the promises and perjuries that inform them in Stendhal's The Red and the Black (1830). This is his third article on Stendhal's novel.
