Registration open for 2017-18 Howl Days New Student Orientation

by Michelle Saport  |

The 2017-2018 Howl Days Orientation season is here, and big changes are happening at New Student Orientation. Beginning this year, all orientations are free for students. If you work with incoming students, please join us in recommending they attend an event. During orientation, students will experience and learn about all UAA has to offer, including:

  • Meeting other new students, current students, and faculty and staff.
  • Learning about student support resources and conduct expectations.
  • Experiencing what it means to be a UAA Seawolf.
  • Touring the campus, and much more!

Students can register on our Howl Days Orientation web page (uaa.alaska.edu/orientation) or by calling (907) 786-1224. Please advise students to visit the New Student Orientation website or contact us by phone or email (uaa_orientation@alaska.edu) to learn more about Howl Days. All students who are new to UAA are expected to attend orientation in order to become acquainted with the campus, academic and student support resources, and conduct requirements.

This year, we will also be adding Seawolf Basics (administrative orientation services) to assist students with completing admissions applications, financial aid, academic advising and course registration prior to attending Howl Days Orientations in August. Seawolf Basics will be offered late May through mid-July. Look for more details to come when we announce those dates.

Thank you for helping promote this important step in transitioning new students to our campus.

Seawolf Pride!
