Please join us in congratulating Chris Green, head women's volleyball coach with UAA Athletics, as the Administrative Services Employee of the Quarter for the second quarter of FY2017.

The American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) named Chris Green as the NCAA Div. II Coach of the Year for 2016. Green led his team to a 34-3 record and an NCAA II Volleyball national runner-up finish. Finishing No. 3 in the nation in the final poll, the Seawolf volleyball team won the NCAA West Regional title and Great Northwest Athletic Conference championship as well. Under Green's leadership, the Seawolves broke more than a dozen school records in 2016, including most victories, best winning percentage and most consecutive victories (20).

One of the most balanced teams in the country, UAA ranks in the top 35 in seven of the NCAA's eight major statistical categories, along with No. 45 in aces per set. Green-now 193-72 in nine years with the Seawolves-added his AVCA award to the GNAC Coach of the Year honor. The Nebraska native has led UAA to the first back-to-back conference titles in the program's 37 years and its first regional title this season, while posting a combined mark of 80-11 over the last three campaigns.

Green has led UAA to a winning record every season and NCAA Tournament appearances in seven of the last eight campaigns. Coach Green, thank you for your dedication and hard work!
