UAA to host two-day ePortfolio Intensive in May 2017

The UAA Teaching Academy will host an ePortfolio Intensive for all faculty and staff May 11-12, 2017. Register today for this free event.

ePortfolios are now the 11th high-impact practice. Studies have shown that effective eportfolio pedagogies and implementation improve student learning across multiple settings. ePortfolios can also deepen student learning, increase student engagement, and positively impact retention and graduation rates. In addition to student use, ePortfolios are used for faculty professional development, promotion and tenure, and faculty research projects.

UAA's eWolf community has many success stories that support these findings. As our eWolf community continues to grow, we invite you to join your colleagues to see what's happening across campus and to discover new ways to use portfolios in your classroom or for your own professional uses.

Visit the Academic Innovations & eLearning website to register for this event.

There's great work happening on campus but much of it is happening in our classrooms behind closed doors. UAA faculty and students will hold 30-, 60-, and 90-minute sessions showcasing their hard work, successes, turning points and ah-ha moments. Presenters are bringing their work out of the classroom so you can learn from their experiences and start to create your own portfolio path during this two-day spring intensive. In addition to the sessions, there will be makerspace time with instructional designers and ePortfolio coaches to offer hands-on help as you start to integrate portfolio use into your classroom or implement portfolios for your professional needs.
