Congratulations, Spring Class of 2017!
Commencement Ceremony All graduates Sunday, May 7, 1 p.m. | Alaska Airlines Center Guest tickets required Ceremony lasts approx. 2.5 hours
Graduate Degree Hooding Ceremony Master's and doctoral graduates only Saturday, May 6, 3 p.m. | Wendy Williamson Auditorium No tickets required Ceremony lasts approx. 2 hours
Know the steps to participate:
1. Apply for graduation
An application for graduation must be submitted prior to walking in the commencement ceremony. For application steps, visit the Graduation & Degree Services website. Remember these deadlines:
- March 31, 2017 - Deadline to apply for spring graduation and be included in the printed commencement program
- April 28, 2017 - Deadline to apply for spring graduation and walk in the May 7 commencement ceremony
An RSVP is required for all participating graduates and is your opportunity to reserve up to five tickets for your guests. Guest tickets are required for the spring commencement ceremony only.
3. Purchase regalia and claim guest tickets
Regalia, and guest tickets for the commencement ceremony, will be available at the UAA Campus Bookstore during and after Grad Fair on Friday, March 24 and Saturday, March 25.
Cap, gown and tassel are required to participate in commencement. A hood is also required for masters and doctoral degree candidates participating in the hooding and commencement ceremonies.
Guest tickets must be picked up in person by the graduate. Graduates must RSVP for the ceremony prior to visiting the bookstore to claim tickets.
