KBC hosts Festival of Literary Readings in conjunction with writers' conference - June 10–12, 2017

Kachemak Bay Writers' Conference logoThe Festival of Literary Readings, in conjunction with the 16th annual Kachemak Bay Writers' Conference, will be held the evenings of June 10-12 in Homer. Sixteen nationally-recognized visiting and Alaskan novelists, essayists and poets will read from their work each evening. (Download a PDF schedule to share or print.)

Pulitzer Prize-winning novelist and essayist Jane Smiley will read at 8 p.m. on June 10 at Homer High School's Mariner Theater.

On Sunday, June 11, 7:30 p.m. at Alice's Champagne Palace, the following authors will read from their work: Kevin Clark, Kate Carroll de Gutes, Erin Coughlin Hollowell, David Huddle, Linda Martin, Rebecca McClanahan, Nina McConigley and Don Rearden.

Held at Land's End Resort at 7:30 p.m., Monday, June 12, the Festival's last evening of readings feature: Rich Chiappone, Brendan Jones, Thomas Larson, Nancy Lord, Susan Fox Rogers, Rachel Rose and Peggy Shumaker.
