Nov. 30, 2017: Free webinar on how to help support students who experience food insecurity and hunger

Food Insecurity & Hunger: Involve Auxiliary Programs to Help Support Students in Need webinar Thursday, Nov. 30, 10 a.m.-noon Student Union Leadership Lab

Insecurities are impacting college students and institutions across the nation. Students on your campus are going hungry. They are having difficulty finding food and they are distracted because of persistent hunger. In 2015, a survey conducted by the Wisconsin HOPE Lab showed that one in five students had the very lowest levels of food security-and 13 percent were homeless.

After this 90-minute webinar, you and your staff will be able to identify students who are in need of additional services, develop awareness and support on campus and within the local community, and develop initiatives that auxiliary programs can spearhead to best meet the needs of students in need.

You'll be able to better communicate across campus, develop a network of support and foster partnerships so less students are likely to fall through the cracks-and you are more likely to improve your engagement, retention and completion efforts overall.
