Nov. 9, 2017: Global Kitchen and free screening of "Tables of Istanbul"

UAA Student Activities and Commuter Student Programs proudly present Global Kitchen, an event celebrating UAA's diverse cultural traditions. We will be hosting UAA clubs and departments for an international smorgsbord of culinary delights and providing a stage for musical and dance performances.

Global Kitchen will take place Thursday, Nov. 9, from 5-7 p.m. in the Student Union Cafeteria and is free for all current UAA students (taking six or more credits) and $5 for staff, faculty and the general public. All event proceeds help sponsor student clubs to participate in Global Kitchen.

Special guest: Dr. Zeynep Kilic, UAA sociology professor, will be showing her award-winning documentary, Tables of Istanbul, at 6:30 p.m. in the Student Union Den. Come learn about the rich culinary history of Turkish food and the community it builds in the city of Istanbul. Q-and-A with Dr. Kilic will follow the film.
