Alumni Drive closure - June 12–25, 2017

From June 12 to June 25, Alumni Drive will be closed between the Fine Arts Building and the Administration/Humanities Building. This closure is to accommodate repair work to campus storm drains. The Fine Arts Building and East Lot will be accessible from the north.

Passion for Spanish, mentoring motivates Fulbright winner

As a baby, Nicole listened to her step-grandmother speaking Spanish to relatives back home. Now, the UAA English-and-economics alumna is an adult whose passion for the language will soon bring her to Asturias, Spain, as a Fulbright English teaching assistant.

David Moxley joins UAA as new director of School of Social Work

The College of Health is pleased to welcome Dr. David Moxley to UAA as the new director of the School of Social Work, effective Aug. 1, 2017. Dr. Moxley will be assuming this position following the June 30 retirement of longtime director, Dr. Elizabeth Sirles.

Temporary changes to Seawolf Shuttle service June 5–9, 2017

Monday, June 5 through Friday, June 9, the Seawolf Shuttle will operate on a slightly reduced schedule. Shuttle service will start at 8:45 a.m. at the Gorsuch Commons (half-hour later than usual) and will cease with a final drop-off at 4:15 p.m. at the Gorsuch Commons (half-hour earlier than usual).
