Wildlife geneticist Ora Russ, M.S. '15, turned her graduate thesis into an opportunity for Alaska when her research, identifying populations of little-understood Bering cisco, greenlit a commercial fishery on the Yukon River.

First spring Mapworks survey is live Feb. 19-March 5, 2017

Mapworks is a student transition and success program that has been on the UAA campus since 2010. Degree-seeking students who have earned 30 or fewer credits are expected to participate in the Mapworks program all year long. As UAA faculty and staff, you can help first-year students succeed by announcing the survey in your classroom and encouraging students to participate.
