Low-cost dental cleanings available at UAA Dental Clinic

UAA’s Dental Clinic provides low-cost dental care to Alaskans while giving UAA students valuable experience and credit toward graduation. Appointments are supervised by dentists, UAA faculty, and registered dental hygienists.

Feb. 16, 2017: UAA professor Diane Hirshberg presents lecture on boarding schools in Alaska

Hirshberg will provide an overview of the history of boarding schools in Alaska, from the early experiments in the 1920s through the 1960s and 1970s (when attendance at these institutions was at its highest) to today. She will discuss the outcomes of these schools, including impacts on students and communities, and the implications for contemporary discussions around residential schooling in Alaska.

Heads up: City-Wide Career and Job Fair on Feb. 23 will impact West Campus parking

The 2017 UAA City-Wide Career & Job Fair will take place on Thursday, Feb. 23 in the UAA Student Union. This job fair is a great way for UAA students, alumni and community members to network and explore career opportunities. As a result, West Campus parking will be extremely limited that day. Please arrive early to allow additional time for parking.
