UAA TRIO Programs hosting food drive around campus through Feb. 22, 2018

Nearly 103,000 Alaskans-roughly 1 in 7-struggle with hunger. The TRIO Programs at UAA are sponsoring a food drive in recognition of the TRIO National Day of Service, which will be held on Feb. 23, 2018. The TRIO National Day of Service is a call to action for advocacy and celebration of TRIO programs, which support first-generation college students and students from low-income backgrounds in successfully accessing and completing higher education.

Please help us fight food insecurity in our community by donating peanut butter and jelly, pop-top canned goods, and other easy-to-open foods at bins located around campus marked "TRIO National Day of Service." The food donations will go to the UAA Student Health & Counseling Center and local food banks. Donations will be accepted until Feb. 22 in bins located in Eugene Short Hall, Rasmuson Hall, UAA/APU Consortium Library and the Student Union.

Thank you for your support of TRIO! For more information, call (907) 786-1380. Learn more about UAA's TRIO programs and TRIO Day here.
