CCEL accepting grant proposals to support Resilient Communities initiative through March 19, 2018

The Center for Community Engagement & Learning (CCEL) is calling for proposals for two grants supporting the center's Resilient Communities Initiative. Please see the Faculty Opportunities section on the CCEL homepage to apply.

1) Resilient Communities | Applications due March 19 at 5 p.m.

The Center for Community Engagement & Learning is soliciting proposals for a Resilient Communities initiative with a due date of Monday, March 19, 5 p.m. We are making a $30,000 investment in 2018-19 with the intention to forward work that UAA faculty and community partners have been doing together in the following thematic areas:

  • Health & Well-Being
  • Access to Justice
  • Our Alaskan Environment
  • Arts, Language & Culture
  • Food Systems
  • Positive Child & Youth Development

2) Evaluation of Resilient Communities | Applications due April 20 at 5 p.m.

The Center for Community Engagement & Learning is soliciting a proposal for a formative evaluation of our Resilient Communities initiative with $4,000 allocated for the evaluation. The Resilient Community grants (four available at $4,000 each) are out for proposal with a due date of Monday, March 19, 5 p.m. The winning proposals for the community-based projects will be selected by March 26. Summaries of the winning proposals will be posted on the CCEL website by March 30. The summaries should be viewed and used to inform faculty wishing to submit a proposal for this evaluation.
